Hello everyone!
Over the past few years, I’ve put together some resources for the teams I’ve worked with. I figured now would be a good time to release the templates! These are not necessarily designed to be a finished product, but my hope is that they’ll work as a good baseline and raise the floor for what non-technical documentation looks like. Please customize these to fit your own team’s colors, fonts, and brand (and if you don’t have those yet, I’ll probably run a brand/rebrand workshop in the off-season).
Clicking on a template link will automatically create a copy in your google drive.
Judge Handout
The judge handout is a document that you print multiple copies of to give away to judges. The handout includes all of your team’s relevant metrics and messaging like mission and vision statements. The handout serves as a guide of talking points for students and a physical reminder to judges about how great your team is!
Sponsor Packet
The sponsor packet is an informational packet that gives potential sponsors an overview of your team, why they should give you money, and how you’re going to use it. I encourage my students to send this packet in advance of potential sponsor meetings and then bring a printed copy to give them. This, like the judge packet, helps serve as a physical reminder of your meeting.
Budget
Managing your budget can feel like a daunting task, so use this to start organizing! I’ve developed this over the past few seasons to track team funding across a variety of different subteams. There’s plenty to customize, but use this as a baseline!
Sponsor Processing Document
This is to keep tabs on all of your current and future sponsors!
If there are any other types of templates you’d like to see, please let me know! These have been my go-tos, but I’m happy to develop more for the community.
Good luck with your season!!
