Nostradamus

I got this from a friend of mine. I don’t usually believe in this stuff but here it goes.

“In the City of God there will be a great thunder, Two brothers torn apart by Chaos, while the fortress endures, the great leader will succumb, The third big war will begin when the big city is burning”

  • Nostradamus 1654

City of God= United States of America
Brothers =Twin Towers
Fortress = Pentagon
Third war = WWIII
Big City Burning= New York
Great leader= Bush or Binladin

Silly yes, but you have to wonder…

It’s bogus. Stop by this link or this one to see where it comes from…

Nostradamus is kinda of freaky.

Last year I saw a documentary on him in history class. Most of his predictions are true. He predicted Napoleon, Stalin, Hitler, the Cold War, the archduke bishop, and many more. He never gives any specific names, nor specific locations, but his vague clues fit the facts.

My friend said that this was suppose to happen in 1999.

Will this action lead to war?

Most likely not, even though they are acts of war.

What will most likely happen is that we will nuke the terrorist sites in the Teleban governments and execute the ones here. Yes, these mean more violence, but this terrorist groups don’t give two cruds about human life, not even their own life. They are only stuck in their cause, whatever it is.

I do believe that Osma bin Ladin did commit or help commit these vicious acts.
I base my reason on this because

  1. The embassy bombing were from suicider truckers (which he claims he accomplished)
  2. The USS Colt was a suicider in a boat (Investigation said it was probably from a supporter of Osma bin Ladin)
  3. And the attack on America are suiciders on airplanes (Osmia bin Ladin is the only one wealthy enough, has the equipment, and big enough army to carry this out + they caught a big amount of middle east people that were seized with knives, box cutters, and “how to” book to fly 747’s manual in Arabic (these people they seized in Boston (where 2 hijacking took place))
These people are suspected to have ties with Osma bin Ladin

He even encouraged all his followers to kill Americans. I mean come on, what else do you need. This is his style.

I’d say its pretty miraculous, considering that he made this prediction 88 years after he died.

I also heard that Osama Bin Ladin has a lot of money and gives out grants to terrorists to do stuff. Like the bombing of the embassy, I heard that they were being encouranged and probably supported by Bin Laden. So most likely Bin Ladin is connected to about 75% of the terrorist attacks coming from the Middle East.

Bin Ladin is just a coward who wouldn’t risk his life fighting for his disgusting cause, but is happy to let his own people die trying to terrorize us.

Not to mention his complete disregard for human life.

On the issue of Nostradamus, first of all, no one remembers all his predictions that didn’t come true. Second, all of his predictions are so loosely worded as to fit at least one circumstance eventually. Notice he doesn’t give dates. He writes it as in a code. It’s all rubbish. Plus the part about the “third world war” is not in the original.

I don’t think nukes will be used. One will lead to a thousand. Add in retaliatory strikes. We’re looking at a long nuclear winter if anyone retaliates to the nukes we launch.

Any country that uses nukes has crap for brains…Once you set off a nuke the size of the ones these days it will drift into the Jet Stream and whoever set it off will feel the same effects as the ones directly effected by it…

Here is the version of the Nostradamus thingy that i received from school…

In the City of God there will be a great thunder, Two Brothers [WTC?] torn apart by Chaos, while the fortress [Pentagon?] endures, the great leader will succumb.
The third big war will begin when the big city is burning.

In the year of the new century and nine months, From the sky will come a great King of Terror…The sky will burn at 45 degrees. Fire approaches the great new city…
-NOSTRADAMUS 1654
2001 is the first year of the new century and this is the 9th month. New York is located at 45 degree Latitude.

A tactical nuke wouldn’t really spread too far–its far too weak to have rife effects. The nukes you are talking about are the big megaton ones, which wouldn’t be used at this day and age unless a large threat arose that couldn’t be put down with anything else.

I don’t know if anyone has read but NATO has added a new phrase to their declaration.

“An attack on one is an attack on all!”

This pretty much said that we had NATO backing us on any decision that we made. According to those wonderful news people.

That’s pretty much always been a part of the NATO charter (Article 5 to be specific). However, it specifies an attack on the territory of or the military of a country in North America, Europe, or the North Atlantic (with a few additions such as all of Turkey). The interesting part is that they applied the mutual-defense pact to a terrorist attack. The other interesting part is that Article 4 has never been applied to a situation before. While this does not guarantee a multilateral response including other NATO countries, it certainly does seem to insinuate it. Of course the real question is, who do we attack?

Hmmmm… I posted this in another thread because I didn’t see this one. Joe, it wasn’t known until after he died. I heard this prediction way before any of this ever happened. Clark is right about the rest of the stuff he wrote. It was also predicted that WWIII would be started by a woman… Draw your own conclusions.

Nostradamus also predicted the world would end in 1984 (I think that was the year he said).

I don’t know if this was a Nostradamus prediction, but I remember that when I was in sixth grade (which would make it 1993), everyone at school was really depressed because that was the day the world was supposed to end… Does anyone else remember this? Perhaps it was just some local rumor.

Patrick

I remember that day, I went to my teacher crying because I thought I was going to die that day… It was so sad, everyone was actign all crazy and scared, my teacher told me nothing was going to happen, but I didn’t believe her I really thought the world was going to end. (I was in 3rd grade then!!!)

Okay, guess I had my year wrong. I didn’t know for sure. I don’t really remember that, especially since I was only in second grade then.

Another thing about Nostradamus…if you read any of his stuff…he has pages and pages about how the use of hallucinogenic substances is essential to continue living your life after a tramatic experience…that when you have stress, you should litterally go out of your mind with help from drugs…yeah…what a great guy to quote…he was prolly out of his mind when he said any of the things he did…and back to that whole generality thing…
