Notes when threads edited by mods

Currently, when a moderator combines two threads or splits a discussion off of one thread to make a new one, there is no notice to the reader that this was done. This can make some posts be taken out of context, or make some threads difficult to follow.

Sometimes a mod will add a post to say they’ve combined/split threads, but this doesn’t always happen. Can we make this a normal practice? Or maybe add a notice at the top of threads that have been altered?

And when you remove a post, maybe don’t editorialize the reason. Just have the balls to put “I didn’t like it so I abused my power and am now going to make a mediocre joke look like something actually offensive rather just a stupid joke that couldn’t possibly have violated any forum rules”
