The New York Tech Valley planning committee will be hosting its fifth annual Robot Rumble! Join us for a day of fun and great competition!

When: Saturday, November 3, 2018
Where: Ballston Spa High School, Ballston Spa, New York

Our Robots to the Rescue Community Food Drive will also be held again this year! For a list of items being collected, please visit the Robot Rumble website.

First, thank you to 3044 for hosting another wonderful offseason event. It’s a great crew of organizers, volunteers, and teams that make this event something we look forward to each year. A special thanks to our volunteers, especially those that travel a good distance (I still want to see that graph, Mark :smiley: ) to make this event what it is.

To our alliance mates, 263 and 5254b, we had a great time playing with you, and we were very glad we got our bot Tip-Z back up and running in time for our matches. I’m proud of how we worked together and came from behind in quarters.

To the winners, 2791, 5254, and 3044, I tip my hat. You had a great alliance, great robots, and played well.

Penultimately, to the fans and members of the audience, I apologize for the magic smoke we let out of both our elevator motors during our 4th match. It was a show on the field (I hear there’s a smoking-hot video somewhere), and I know it left the odor-de-robot behind in the gym for some time.

Finally to my team members, I couldn’t be more proud how we recovered from that double-failure (and the failure of the mounting bracket, battery Anderson, CAN bus, and everything else on Saturday), and persevered to get the robot back on the field contributing to our elimination alliance.

We’ll see you at kickoff!

On behalf of 0xBE4, we would like to say a big thank you to all that travelled from near and far to spend Saturday with us! We cannot thank all of the volunteers enough for all that they do both for Robot Rumble and FIRST in New York!!

Thank you to our alliance partners, 2791 and 5254 for a really fun time in eliminations. It was great working with you both!

Finally, thank you to all the teams for your donations to the food drive! The amount of food collected was incredible, and is making a big impact in our community.
