Well you know what they say…

May the BEST team win.

I was there and I witnessed four of the most awesome teams in OCCRA if not the country. Las Guerillas has and probably always will produce a very effective machine. It was great to watch how it swooped balls more effectively than Hoover! Team 27 OTC-NW was a blocking machine! Able to glide around the field while elevating to block its opponents from scoring.

Team 47 has always been known for being innovative as well as an integral part of robotics. Their machine demonstrated agility, efficiency and eloquence while the Killer Bees from Notre Dame Prep was second to none in function ability, able to scoop, score and pick up the super ball.

The Championship match was a breath taker because it went beyond functionality into strategies. Both teams jockeying for field position using incredible mechanical and electrical prowess. However, as with any machine, durability became a factor.

I wish that all robots could have functioned in the last two matches but the durability of the robot design is what determined the match, and the winners.

Congratulations to four INCREDIBLE TEAMS

Team 469 - International Academy Las Guerillas
Team 27 - OTC-NW
Team 47 - Pontiac Central Chiefs
Team 33 - Notre Dame Killer Bees
