Off-Season Brazil 2023

Welcome to the amazing world of FRC events in Brazil, this time we are going to Marina da Glória in Rio de Janeiro for the Off-Season Brazil.

Today was the Load-In day, so it was time to check out the pit area and the event structure, the event is for FRC and FTC, so the pits for each of the categories are very close of eachother, unfortunally I didn’t took any pictures of the area of the pits but I took some of the structure, here are some of the front of the event

Here is some of the view that we have inside of the event including the field.

Going a through the side of the field we also have an amazing view in a little bridge were teams can go to socialize and clear their head.

Also following the Festival Sesi tradition we had the “Sunset Da Amizade” (translates to “Sunset of Friendship”) which is a party that all the teams at the event are welcome to attend, it had a DJ playing party songs and snacks for all the teams with a beautiful view of Marina da Glória.

The event is also very close of Santos Dumont Airport so we can frequently see airplanes taking off, that for me was very cool to see in a FRC event.

With this we are finished for day one, check out the event for the Pratice day, qualifies and playoffs, the event will be livestreamed at Sou Robotica, this thread will be update each day of the event so stay tuned, see you tomorrow!

It’s the day after the load-in and you guys know what time it’s, pratice time!

Today all teams started their inspection process, I couldn’t get any data of the progress but I know that brazilian teams are all putting big effort to play this Off-Season.

The event had free lunch for all the teams, it was a small buffet with rice, gnocchi bolognes and salad, I only have a picture from one of our members, but he clearly wasn’t that hungry

Here is a photo of Marina da Glória that I took after the lunch that was near to the docks.

Pratice matches started after 1:00 P.M, as seen on our first day we would have matches with a beautifull view.

The teams had a big time at the pratice matches, a lot of robots were tested and a lot of new people seeing FRC and FTC for the first time were visiting the event, at Rio as the last Off-Season event we had lot of new visitors just appreciating the event.

So that was it for the day, tomorrow we have qualifies and all the event will be livestream at Sou Robótica.

Looking foward for tomorrow!
