SWEET

Curie is stacked pretty well. This means that Curie will most likely not win this year either.
67, 1114, 330, 118, 16, 48, 60, 234…the list goes on. (lots of other good teams, these just seem to be the best few–no particular order.)

It looks like the “randomizer” was applied to division assignments. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or not.

I actually really like these divisions…they all seem to have a balance of power.

wow
The moment of truth!

I’m feeling like John Nash here, trying to figure out the pattern in this distribution. Is there some deterministic algorithm they used here, or is there some element of randomness. In any case, the divisions look great to me… Einstein is going to be spectacular.

Is it just me, or did the assinment method change?

Awesome! Will FIRST make any kind of annoucement stating that these are the official, not subject to change divisions? So much for 1, 2, 3, 4 … assignments.

EDIT:---- Scratch this. bad anaylsis (the text is gone!)

I’m pretty sure that these are official, because reg. is closed (I think?)… And they wouldn’t be posted if they weren’t.

Jacob

Man 1114 and 330 together… kinda like 1114 and 469 last year. Could be amazing.

Someone needs guts to call the finals for these divisions.

I think Galileo looks to be the stacked one, but they seem to be way more even than they have in passed years.

What are the power houses for Galileo?

111 is in Newton, with 399 (finalists at Philly), 1124 (winners of UTC), 177, 181 (winners of Philly), and 375 (finalists at NYC) to name a few…

And…

24 45 56 65 70 116 191 217 237 1126 2056 and more, for Galileo.

111 isn’t in Curie

3 of the 5 Israeli teams are in Newton…

I would put an eye on 1574 and 1657
They both have great robots!

What about 1114 and 469 this year? 469 is in Curie…

Runs from the wave of tubes that Curie can put up.

It is like they used the scheduler randomizer to pick the divisions. Most of the time it goes 1, 2, 3 ,4 and you get the partners you expect, but every once in a while there is a hiccup (and you go again with one match rest :ahh: ). I can’t help but think this is some curveball Dave made up to keep Division selections interesting.

RPI and video links, coming tonight. Hopefully. Depends how much coding I can get done before HW starts owning me.
