Official update #1 - 9/13 - Mike Martus

  1. Additional specifications for the goal as well as drawing enhancements will be available soon from Justin. I will announce here when they are available.

  2. A reminder of a rule:“Human players may only throw balls into a goal while the goal is in the scoring zone; balls that are thrown into a goal when it is outside of the scoring zone will be removed after the match before the referees calculate the scores.”

1.1 Question: The small goal shows the vertical tubes on the inside of the lower frame and the tall goal with the verticals on the outside. Is this correct.

Answer:
Yes; this causes the balls to stack single-file vertically on the small goal and it has a smaller concrete patio stone, too. The patio stone on the larger goal barely fits into the base and the balls stack along side each other more, so a lot more of them can fit in.

1.2 Question: Will some pictures be available to see details of the goals?

Answer:
Team #47 will review the pictures they took and make them available early next week for all teams to see.

1.3 Question:
Are the goals that were built available for my team to see?

Answer:
Yes, the goals are at OSTCNE in the food service room across from Justin’s room; any team that wishes to schedule a half hour time slot to come and see the goal can call me ( Mike McIntyre) at 248-451-2732. You will need to have a scheduled time to avoid conflicts, to give everybody an equal opportunity to see the actual goals, to make sure one of us is there, and to make sure we don’t have to wait around until all hours, wondering when they’re going to show up. Our team are likewise being limited to 30 minutes each week with the goal.
