Our team has been having problems with the new router, OM5P. We are not able to receive Riolog outputs when using the OM5P. We have two robots, one with a Dlink and one with an OM5P. The robot with the old router, Dlink, gives riolog output, When we swap the OM5P and the Dlink, the robot with the Dlink still works fine, showing the OM5P is the source of our problems. We have also found out that when connected to the OM5P via ethernet cable, we are able to receive riolog outputs, which narrows it down to the fact that the OM5P is having problems sending messages to the riolog over wifi. We have reset and re-configured the OM5P multiple times following instructions on WPILIB screensteps, and tested on multiple laptops, all yielding the same result (the same computers that are able to receive riolog output from the Dlink and from the OM5P via ethernet are unable to receive riolog output from the OM5P via wifi). Is there anything that could possibly be causing these problems that we are not aware of?
Perhaps the QoS setting on the OpenMesh is involved?
Try browsing to the OpenMesh and clearing the 7mb/s setting just to see if that is causing you problems.
Answer and a workaround is in this thread:
Interesting, I think the netmask was originally 255.255.255.128
RufflesRidge, that thread regarding the riolog helped us a lot! We followed the instructions to update the radio, and we also found that we needed to update our roboRIO firmware to 3.0. Afterwards, we were finally able to get riolog output! Thanks so much for your help!
