one of our modules rotates harder than other three modules, they are all neos and i greased them all however, there is one difffrence between these four swerves i needed to disassemble three them to determine and fix another problem. i left the remaining module on chasis and it rotates harder now. does anyone know what may caused this problem
Is it the drive or steering that rotates harder?
Who manufactured the modules?
Any photos?
And to clarify, the module that was not disassemble and remained on the chassis was behaving normally before you fixed another problem on the other three modules?

we bought the modules from sds
unfortunately i dont remember was it behaving normally or not

i just disassembled and reassembled that module, i guess the problem was with the angle of the pulley. its not that hard to steer it now than 2 hours ago
maybe when we code them it may not be a problem ( that was what our programing captain said)
We don’t have an SDS swerve, but the REV MaxSwerve. One of our students had noticed a similar stiffness on one module mechanically. For that system it was due to the planetary gears being over tightened during the assembly.
In the future they are going to check mechanical free spin while they are assembling to make sure they are all consistent. After it was loosened it seemed to match better with the rest. Could be a similar thing with any mechanism if you overtighten moving parts. Once it was being driven by the motors it was great. Spinning by hand you are fighting the motor and the gearbox with ours so they were all “hard” to turn anyways.
have you checked the magnets? from what you’re describing one of them could have come loose, necessitating you to loctite them in and reconfigure the offsets
our cancoders havent arrived yet. we only assembled the modules they dont have cancoders yet
