Team 343 has an online game and robotics test. Log onto the www.metalinmotion.com web page and see how well you can do. While there, visit our message board. Thanks to everyone who has IMed us from the web cam page. Good luck to all teams this year.
What a truly great example of gracious professionalism! Our field team can certainly benefit from your test!
Sorry that we won’t get to see you guys in Orlando. Good luck to your team in Atlanta!
One of the questions is: What is the total number of small balls? I count 48 purples and 4 yellows for a total of 52, but the largest answer given as an option is 36. Whoever made up that question forgot about the bonus balls and the three balls atop each team’s corral at the beginning of the match.
(I tried to post this on the metalinmotion message board, but it wouldn’t let me.)
Gosh! I think you are right. I will have to edit my quiz. Look for the updated, correction to be made later today. Thanks, Alan. Oh! Be sure and register as a user for the MiM message board and then you should be able to post. If that still doesn’t work, use the e-mail link at the bottom of the homepage and let us know. We will check into it further. Now, about that guy that made that test…
I got 95% and learned a few things that I missed…time to read the game rules again, been concentrating too much on robot rules.
it also has one of the awnsers as zero times the losers score that would be zero points. So shouldnt it be one time
The quiz refuses to work on Mac IE.
The opposing alliance’s score is used only in case of qualification seeding ties, right? The question should probably ask how many times the losers’ score is added to your score. The correct answer is indeed zero.
WEll I passed…93%
Hopefully all of the proper corrections have been made and the new version will be posted within the hour (it is 1:45 EST on 2/13/04.) Thanks to all who gently reminded me of major and minor mistakes. I need to brush up on some of the rules too. Good luck, everyone.
I got a 99% - but I have a question. Are the point values really going to be printed on the balls? I thought they were based on the ball color.
They are printed on the ball. <G01> also says that you are awarded the point value printed on the ball.
