Where do we send the ‘part’ we like to contribute to the FIRST Library?

When you submit your Onshape document, we will also have a section in the form for you to include a link to any public parts that you created so we can include that in your score. Is Onshape available free to FRC mentors who don’t have a school email address? If they are listed by the FRC team as a mentor on the team’s FRC Dashboard.

Yes, it is available to FRC mentors with whatever email you choose. To create your account or upgrade your existing free account, go to https://www.onshape.com/en/education/, select “Create Free Account”, and then fill out the following form. Feel free to PM with questions!

Any time a company is acquired, there is fear that what was great about the company might go away. Quite happily, PTC’s acquisition of Onshape has not diminished the commitment to education that Onshape started with, and has quite possibly made it even better.

I can’t thank Onshape and PTC enough for making it super easy for everyone on a FIRST team, whether school-based or not, to collaborate in CAD. They set the bar very high for software in education.
