Optimal Radio Setup

In the WPIlib docs, under the Introduction Step 3 subsection programming your Radio, it is recommended that two VH-109 Radios be used. Programming your Radio — FIRST Robotics Competition documentation (link attached), What would the actual difference be between running one vs two, and is it worth setting up a second radio on the robot?

The docs are referencing using 2 radios in a Access Point and Bridge mode like the field, not 2 on the robot. Doing this allows u to use the 6GHZ spectrum, otherwise if u run AP mode on the robot only, u have to run 2.4GHz

The new radios running in 6 GHz while on battery cannot be an access point. This means that if you want the 6 GHz connection, a 2nd radio is required as an access point at your DS, which the robot would connect to.

Did you have questions about the advantages/disadvantages listed on that page?

As far as I could tell, all of the pro/con lists were referring to other situations rather than comparing the one or two radio setup. If i missed this I would appreciate some clarification.

So one radio on the robot, the other on the drivers station?
