The mad lads did it again.
Phenomenal work Orbit! This thing looks like it’s an absolute beast. The mechanical design and controls knowledge to pull this off is tremendous, and I can’t wait to watch y’all compete!
The robot is beautiful but that rotational wrist movement is brilliant. Bravo again on another phenomenal looking robot.
Love this robot. So simple.
I have no words. I was prepared to be amazed but this is just insane.
https://youtu.be/9n5jAUfXYtI?t=50 this may be the best transition I’ve seen in a reveal video (timecode)
Well done 1690! Can’t wait to see it on stream in a bit and even more in person!
Lots of words came to my mind, but “simple” was not one of them.
Looks cute! What is that conveyor belt material you are using in the base of the robot?
Incredible as ever, interested to see how far you take it this season
That cube Shooter is sweet!!!
What in the degrees of freedom
Awesome robot, but what is the purpose of the blue roller above the intake/shooter mechanism? I can’t tell what it’s doing from the video.
I would assume to knock standing-up cones into a horizontal orientation, but someone from 1690 can correct me if I’m wrong
Would absolutely love to dive into the software behind this robot.
I wonder how long before this robot is shooting while moving like its predecessor
It essentially already is! Cubes are shot similarly as their cargo last year, on the move in several shots.
Can’t believe even the camera has a degree of freedom
I had a feeling I would see shooting on the move again
