I’ve gotten so much better at driving. We’re scoring 20-25 cargo and doing traversals and high rungs in practice matches by ourselves. We also did a two ball auto, scored 15 cargo in teleop, and got a high climb with two other robots on the field in a practice match.
First, congrats we can’t wait to see you guys next week! You guys were already great at Kokomo. Can’t wait to see all your late nights and hard work payoff on the field.
Second, are you scoring 20-25 cargo “points” or individual balls. Is this including auto or just in telop?
That’s 4 cargo in auto and at most 21 cargo in teleop. Admittedly, we’ve only gotten 25 total twice and we were the only robot on the field. We also just barely had enough time for a high rung climb, like back hooks coming off the second rung in the last quarter second of the match. Most of our solo practice matches are 4 in auto and 17 or 18 in teleop.
Hopefully this translates to like 14 or so cargo in teleop during a real match since that’s about what we got with two other robots on the field.
We really need to give a shout out to 7617 and 3494. 5010 was having lots of robot issues related to shooting still and the team made the call to switch to defense and let our partners shoot cargo as long as possible. 7617 was one of the best cargo bots at the event and was an absolute steal. We needed a little luck and things to work in our favor, still hard to believe it worked out.
292 should be incredibly proud of your work and progress this season. We’ll hopefully have our cargo game back to full capacity by state champs.
