Our teams driver hub has developed a very strange bug where every time you attempt to turn the Wi-Fi on in settings it immediately turns back off we have tried taking the battery out, factory resetting, and reinstalling the operating system. We concluded that it wasn’t the software but since the Ethernet still works the only thing it could be is the wireless chip on the inside. We opened it up and there are no obvious signs of damage and the contacts are all good. We have run out of ideas and our second meet is on Sunday so any suggestions would be helpful
Your best bet is probably to send it to REV and get a replacement. That is textbook wireless chip issues.
In the meantime, since you’re competing on Sunday my recommendation would be to ask the teams around you to see if they have a spare device (either a phone with USB adapter, or Driver Hub) that you can use for the day.
If you do that, make sure to unpair it from the RC of whoever lent it to you so you don’t accidentally pair with their robot instead of your own.
thanks for the suggestions, what we ended up doing was digging through the depths of the cabinet and finding one of our teams old driver station phones and got that working, we had to go buy a usb hub but its been working fine so far. We have emailed rev and are working getting the hub replaced but we should be fine for our event. I still wonder what exactly happened but all’s well that ends well I suppose.
