PACT advocacy conference 8/24/2019

Hi everyone!

FRC 5740 will be hosting our Pennsylvania Advocacy Conference of Technology workshop on August 24th at our school. All the information can be found in the attached poster.

The why:

Our team have been proud advocates for increased state support for STEM and FIRST. Through our efforts we have been able to help pass legislation to achieve approximately 30 million dollars in increased K-12 STEM focused education funding. We want to give the opportunity for other teams to learn how to utilize this funding and advocate to their own representatives and school boards.

Any team can attend. This money can be used for pre-existing FIRST teams, new teams, or for other STEM focused programs within Pennsylvania. Not from PA? You can still gain valuable advocating experience and learn how our team was able to assist in making this change in PA.
