We’d sometimes include the wish list in emails to the team. To our surprise we started getting stuff and good leads for getting stuff. We got our facilities toaster oven, microwave, a parent volunteered to make the trophy case, a student had a contact for free blank license plate frames, a parent volunteered that they worked at Home Depot - and got us stuff…
We began to leave the wish list at our regular open house, and watched guests pick it up and leave. Now that guest is informed, they can tell others, and who knows what stuff will come because of that.
