FRC pneumatics presentation
by: Nate Laverdure

My attempt at a “primer” discussion on FRC pneumatic systems, designed for two ~30-minute sessions. Alternate title: Everything I wanted to know about FRC pneumatics but was afraid to ask ChiefDelphi.

This presentation was given to the 2013 Hampton Roads FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Summit, held Saturday 9 November 2013 at the Peninsula Higher Education Center in Hampton, VA. It provides a discussion about the reasons why a pneumatic actuation system might be a good choice in many FRC applications, develops a symbolic language which can be used to describe and design pneumatic systems, and gives solutions to many of the common problems that FRC pneumatics face in operation.

Suggestions and improvements welcome!
