paper: Fuel Counting Assistant

Thread created to discuss this whitepaper.

I have created a fuel counting assistant tool to help anyone who is concerned about accurately counting fuel during a match. This workbook pulls data from the TBA API and uses this information to adjust the number of fuel you believe were scored by each team to a number that hopefully better represents reality.

It currently uses 2016 data because no 2017 data exists yet, but I will post a 2017 revision a day or two before week 0 for anyone who wants to scout the official week 0 event.

Let me know if you notice any bugs or have suggestions for improvements. In particular, I would love to get this to work with libreoffice, but I’m having trouble, so if you have experience with libreoffice or json parsing feel free to reach out.

I tested out the spreadsheet last week and it worked well enough. The VBA seems to work pretty well, and the rest worked when I followed instructions. I can’t help with libreoffice. I did use importjson in google sheets last year with some success (although I need to restructure my use) if looking for a non-excel free way to spread this assistant.

2017 version has been uploaded. It has data from the week 0 event pre-filled. “week0” is the event key for the official week 0 event.
