Parking at NY Regional...

Does any one who is familiar with where the regional in NY riverside park know if its possible to park a car over night there and be safe. Is there any security at night for equipment and viehicals parked there at night. I want to leave my car there but I would like it to be there in the mornings.
Can anyone supply a map or plan of the competition lay out and its parking lots.
Thanks.

contrary to popular belief, NYC is not a crack-filled whore toting crime den. Some parts are, but not riverhead park. I think that you can safely put your car on the streets at night, and it will be there the next day. a garage would be even better (just dont let the valet scratch it all up!) but if you leave equipment in it, I would inconspicuously cover it with something so its not exposed. If someone who knows machinery comes and sees a $10000 piece of machinery in a car, i think that the likleyhood of it being taken is much more. But my mom leaves her car on the street all the time, and its not much of a problem. and I live in brooklyn.

I think I didnt make my question clear. Im not so much worried about it being stolen as its insured and all the contents. I was more worried about it being towed away and held for some idiotic ransom. Many cities live on these kind of funds not just NY, so thats what I was concerned about.
If you know where theres a lay out of the competition site and the parking area I would apreciate it.
Thanks

The new venue for the NY Regional does have
secured parking lot for about 200 cars.
The lot is located underneath Riverbank State
Park and is patrolled by State Police (with big guns).
I just finished the FIRST Lego League Competition
in Riverbank.

You get a parking permit at the park’s gate and
it will include direction into their private parking lot.
Overnight parking? … that’s another question.

I will try to find out.

Sorry but-
Overnight parking at the NYC Regional will not be allowed.
It is a state facility and they do not allow overnight unless
you are an employee and have a special permit.
