Hi,
Apologies if this is too far outside of the scope of this forum, but I figured I might as well try.
One of my coworkers works with his child’s school (small private elementary/middle school) in Pasadena, CA and they are trying to expand their STEM education programs. He reached out to me about getting a 3D printer for his students and I provided a few suggestions. He also needs someone to come help them set up and train them on the 3D printer operation and basic troubleshooting.
Pasadena is a bit far for me to make during the week, but I would be willing to help him on a weekend. If they only have access to their facilities on a weekday, I told him I’d see if I could find someone in the area who knows 3D printing that could help them get set up (basic FFF printing, nothing crazy).
Also, I told him about FIRST and the different programs and he seemed interested, so this might be a good chance for a local Pasadena team to help start an FLL or FLL Jr. team.
If you’d be willing to spend a few hours in the potentially near future helping this school with setting up their 3D printer and possibly starting a team, send me a DM and I can start to coordinate once they know more about the printer they’re going to buy, the times they have available, and if they’re interested in joining the FIRST family.
