My thoughts and prayers are with the friends and family of Mr. Breithut.

It sounds like his impact will certainly live on through the organization and regional he founded and the lives of the students he touched both personally and through these organizations.

Fred was a tireless advocate for students and STEM and bringing them together with local Long Island businesses to everyone’s benefit.
He founded SBPLI long before he made LI FIRST the flagship program of SBPLI, and once committed, turned all his efforts to making the FRC/FLL programs a success here on Long Island. More than 50% of the 100+ public school districts on LI have FRC and/or FLL teams due to Fred’s dedication. Fred was responsible for raising millions to support this program over the years.

Fred was a wonderful soul and we all miss him very much already.
