Please ask Paul who his favorite Copioli is and why it’s Mike?

Please ask if the team at Sphero is looking for interns next summer…

Or, even better, suggest they should be looking for interns— any time.

The Human Roman Candle! That should be the answer to a trivia question.

Important question:

Paul, how do you find yourself able to manage a company, mentoring, and a family? What kinds of ways do you split work/life balance? What other hobbies do you have to keep you sane?

This right here. Most of us in FIRST live crazy busy lives but I feel Paul takes the cake on this. Thanks for the questions so far.

Which FRC robot of yours is your favorite? Which is your favorite of all robots?
What’s your generic career advice for recent FRC Alumni?
You’ve made some pretty big career changes in your life: leaving FANUC for VEX, leaving VEX for LittleBits*. Aside from the boring stuff (money), what are you looking for or evaluating when considering new career opportunities? What makes you turn down roles/opportunities?
If you were about to be a freshman in college, what would you do differently this time around? ie different major, different school**… etc.

Paul, how do you balance being a senior leader with being a technical expert? Looking back on your career to this point, can you identify a tipping point after which you began to see yourself primarily as a leader?

Which sports teams are you rooting for these days?

He had so much hair then! And it wasn’t grey!

This is a question I would love to hear, and love to hear Paul elaborate on how much technical work he’s still been able to do in his various executive-level positions.

Katie,
I saw him recently on a Zoom call.
Technically, he’s not grey anymore.

I thought this was an interesting segment that I never heard a direct answer on before: Why VEX has not started a FRC competitor. https://youtu.be/9KNxnMUmZbo
