[PCH Pit] Mailbag Submissions

Hey folks,

In our upcoming PCH Pit show we’re going to be reviewing the happenings of DCMP this past weekend and provide a small preview for worlds.

However, we would also like to do a new “Mailbag” segment where we answer questions from the community.

So if you have any questions for us about anything, drop in this thread and we’ll be sure to try to discuss it on this week’s show.

What team kind of surprised you guys and really stood out with their performance this year?

Out of all the teams going to Worlds. What three teams did you guys not expect to go? (This can be done as three teams each or you all can vote on three teams I’ll leave that to you since I know how you guys are about time.)

Which PCH teams have the highest potential to go far in Houston in your opinion? I assume you might already be covering this, but I thought I would ask anyway. Who are the dark horses that could compliment an alliance for a 2nd pick even.

What do the qualifying PCH teams have to do to get onto Einstein, via Robot improvements or Driver improvements?

Just to help clarify, is this an “PCH robots in general” or “X, Y, and Z team”? @DevanshS

Not @DevanshS, but I personally think it would be cool to see what improvements specific teams can make to do well in Houston.

I was thinking specific robots not just robots in general

Are there any awards that you can see any PCH team getting?

I’ll add something … what “cheesecaking” would you do if any?

BTW, we’ve run out of weight and ideas for adding an L3 climber to 2974. I think Otto has weight room though to add to theirs.

I don’t know if I would add anything on the robot, but it would be interesting to see an outsider’s perspective on what we could improve on, not just on robot improvements but also driving as well. I think someone not on the team could give insight we might not have ie. a strategy that was successful that we didn’t implement.

I think the best cheesecake/champs add-on climber would be a suction climb. It’s simple to assemble and implement and can be brought down to be a very compact form-factor. The benefit of the double climb and coolness factor is just a bonus. Obviously not everyone will have the space of weight for it, but if a robot did that would be my go to route.

Who is the better SLFF team of all time? RFA or QD?

What?! @BrennanB Trying to divide our great union? The shame…but our dominance was legendary though.

Do you think that 2415 or 4026 have a shot of making a good alliance in their divisions with their strategy of defend then climb?
