Thanks to the helpful volunteers, especially when we went to the Chairman’s Award interview. Being a second-year team, we didn’t know the procedure, and thought we were going to find the interview room ourselves. It was nice to have a volunteer personally come to our pit in order to find us, bring us to the interview room, and make sure we had everything we needed.
Thanks to team 272, Cyber Crusaders, for the VERY dramatic presentation of their Best Robot at the Competition Award. It was unexpected and a gratifying gift after our team’s hard work on all aspects of the competition.
Thanks to Senator Connie Williams and Secretary of Education Gerald Zahorchak for taking the time to visit the event.
Thanks to the event staff, volunteers, and sponsors of the Philly Regional. The event ran smoothly, was on-time (ahead of time even!), and was so energetic! This was the most electric Philly Regional I have been to in 8 years! Congratulations.
Congratulations to all teams, especially the event Champions 84, 341, and 181… Your alliance was fun to watch!
Also, a special congratulations and thank you to all the Philly Regional Personal Recognition Award recipients and all teams who recognized them. Attached is the list of recipients.
For those teams whose season is over, come on out to the off-seasons! For those heading to Atlanta, best of luck!
Philadelphia, as always, was an incredible event. The close venue and friendly folks make for a super atmosphere. Thanks to:
44 wonderful teams
Nearly 100 volunteers, especially our Vol Coordinators Anne Larkin & Maureen Weiss
Drexel University’s College of Engineering and Facilities Mgt.
Our event management and production crew - AWESOME job as always
RD Carol Kauffman - Without Carol steering the ship, there’s no way we’d be working on 10th anniversary plans for the 2008 event!!
Every year in Philly gets better than the last. Intense competition, electric atmosphere, and a chance to catch up with about 1,500 of your closest friends. What more could anyone ask for?
