Post your photo of the coyotes robot in match 109!
I was confused about this thread until I saw the match. Very funny 610.
can someone fill in the blanks for us that didn’t get to see the match?
2512 is a great FCS. 610 is a smart team. 610 adds a bright and colourful 84" blocker. 610 (and alliance) wins.
Hmmmm…to come up with a 7 foot high blocker mechanism in just over an hour until the match…very smart…pure genius. I don’t think I have ever seen 610 this year with a FCS blocking mechanism, let alone in a defensive blocker role…digging deep to win. Kudos to the students and mentors of 610 to work on the fly.
As the main viewer of this beautiful blocker (since it was right in front of our face) I got a good chuckle out of it. I thought it was so beautiful that I would even take it to prom! Anyways though, kudos to that alliance. It was a great match and we were honored to play against such a prestigious alliance. Also I would like to say thank you to our alliance parters 2481 the Roboteers and 842 Falcon Robotics.
Fixed that for you.

First class response, I wouldn’t expect any less from any FIRST team participant. You wear the First mission statement of “Gracious Professionalism” well and proud. I am glad you saw the humor in 610’s preparation to compete against such a formidable force of a FCS that your Team 2512 is. Good luck for the rest of the Championships…I wish you and your team success.

This one was snapped as we were leaving our pit.
Special thanks to 1114, 111 and 771 who collectively provided the raw materials required to construct the blocker.
The beautifying materials were supplied by 771 as a part of a prank they played on us this morning. 610 is an all boys school, and we were surprised to see our pit and robot neatly decorated with hot pink boas and flowers upon arrival this morning. Some very busy and eccentric interior decorators had been hard at work! Not only that, our pit was teeming with a newly-recruited all-female pit crew made up of 771 members dressed in our Crescent School uniforms. It was hilarious and truly awesome!
Match 109 is the type of match that FRCers live to play. 842 and 2512 locked us in on a brilliantly executed bait and switch, which we had to work extremely hard to push through. Had we not, the match would likely been lost. Even so, the margin of victory was less than if 842 successfully climbed and dumped. Unfortunately, their mechanism was damaged during the match, and they were unable to climb.
Thanks to all the teams involved in the match. It was a great experience to play both with and against such amazing teams!
We are glad you enjoyed it!
It was a lot of fun for us!

It’s all about the flowers! i was sitting with 610 in the stands, right in front of 842. The Coyotes were passing around a phone with a picture of the robot all dressed up. This was a few minutes before they brought the robot out to the queuing area. These guys have a great sense of humor
Fortunately the Falcons’ robot didn’t sustain any serious damage, it was just a bearing popped out on the arm pivot, and they were able to fix it so it won’t happen again.
I thought it was hilarious! I hope the boys are having the time of their lives!
That’s funny. That would be awesome to see on Einstein.
My last post was from my phone which did not correctly upload photos. Attached are two of the robot after its Match 109 “makeover.”
I must say, the robot was looking fabulous!
