Physics: Center of Mass and Tipping

I was interested in calculating how quickly a robot would have to accelerate or decelerate in order to tip given a center of mass at a certain height and position along the robot. What equations govern this scenario? I couldn’t find a white paper on this, but I wasnt completely sure what to search.

Disclaimer: we plan to have a fairly short robot this year, so these calculations are purely academic for me.

i believe that you would just find the robot’s center of mass, then calculate the work required to move that point directly over the pivot where the robot would tip(most likely the bottom corner of the bumper). then just find the required force/acceleration with basic equations.

I did a white paper years ago on center of gravity (center of mass), it may help?
