Good eye … Yes, it is heavy - 1/4" thick. But we cut a bunch away to help with the weight. With this years game “promoting” significant contact we are going for a strong base. And with the contact area clearly defined to remain below 8-1/2" we figure we don’t need the strength above. Our topside will not weigh much. The low CG will also help us get up the ramp with minimal tipping concerns.

That would be our wonderful mentor Mike Trapp. He is the owner of the waterjet company that cuts all our pieces (If you look in the background I believe you can see the waterjet machine).

YES … that WILL be the case. I have a name in mind, but I don’t believe the team has decided quite yet. I am hoping to introduce our newborn chassis by name very soon.
