Very simple, very cheap, very effective chain tensioning system. Chains and drive train in general has always been a problem for us. With this new design, I’d put money down that unless we sustain some pretty heavy damage, we won’t be throwing any chains this year. It’s hard to just describe how well it’s working so far, but it’s easily the best drive train our team has ever built. Thought it’d be worth showing.
The only thing that I can see is you are taking engagement away from your sprocket. Usually you would tension so that you are getting more chain wrap on the sprocket. I don’t think it will be a problem though.
True. With the springs we’re using, though they don’t like like much, the chain has almost no give. I, also, doubt that’ll be a problem in this case.
