Front is our 2016 robot, rear is our prototype robot ready for testing. Our robot does not have a frame. all components attach to the sheet metal. With the drives installed and the bumpers on, it is very stiff. Each shell took us less than 5 hours to cut and rivet together by the students.
Not sure if it’s just the picture, but it looks like your portcullis/CdF manipulator sticks way out of the allowed 15". The structure is really interesting tough!
Inquiring minds want to know, where do you mount the radio?
We competed with it week one (Kettering District 1) and passed inspection with no problems. The radio and all components fit inside the center area.
