Arm/Elevator?
Another Beach’Bot arm, if I’m any judge.
Beach’Bot?
I’ll answer with a picture or two: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/media/photos/27675 is the 2007 version of the 2005 world champion seen here: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/media/photos/21476
The Beach’Bots popularized the arm style without meaning to.
Single jointed arm mounted up high on a mast. Operated by chain drive (not sure if this is a req or not). It was an arm style popularized by team 330 The Beachbots
EDIT: Of course EricH beat me to it
ahhh you are correct.
But its what’s not in the picture.
I got some cool pictures from working on the manipulator today, try and see if you can figure out whats going on here.
Got a video of the arm in action today (its still on the bench)
try to figure out whats going on with the 2 wires running down the arm. Use the picture above as a clue.
Sorry the video is sideways.
You guys should probably wear safety glasses (and not on your forehead) when you are working on the robot. Clean design though…Hope it works out for you…
R
cause its gunna blow up and spray shrapnel into their eyes. :ahh:
you never know
we are very good about wearing safety glasses when working, (eg, machining, cutting, drilling) but we are more relaxed about it when just bolting stuff together and/or trying stuff out.
Interesting!
One of the first teams to post a video of their robot that will be attending the Waterloo regional, we, Team 1535 Knights of Alloy, will also be there.
It’s looking good. Hopefully you will be posting some more.
