**Why have only one when you can have two…?

Double the trouble! :yikes:

Our mini-bot video will be next… Not for a few weeks though…

Very impressive looking robot. Good to see 222 back in action!
I don’t understand the point of the second claw at all. What is the benefit, if you can only possess one tube?

Why does 118 have wings?

Because they can lol

If I was a betting man I’d say autonomous mode. It appears that they can’t legally start a match with a tube in their gripper and would like to avoid doing a little dance to pick up a tube then drive to the target. Also instead of automating an entire lifter they simple flick a switch.

It also doesn’t weight anything and is way simpler to line up to load compared with human loading a claw. Simply ram into the alliance station and have the human player shove it through the slot.

You mean we can only have one tube at a time!?
just kidding

Well our tail serves a couple purposes in life. We talked the first weekend of build about how could we help our partners best in elimination rounds. We saw a potential for feeder bots. This is our answer. We decided that we could make the system serve a dual purpose so why not make it a quick and dirty bottom post scorer too. Was this a necessity? No not really but at least we have a secondary scoring mechanism in case anything happens to our elevator. Not saying our elevator is in any way unreliable. Just saying Murphy catches up to teams when they least expect it and we like to have a “plan B”.

Ian we can start with a tube in our front gripper for autonomous. The gas struts are a dual purpose item too. We start the match with our elevator tilted back. The struts also absorb the rigors of aggressively driving in to the scoring pegs.

Thanks for the compliment Chris. It’s too bad we won’t be bumping into 2791. It looks like you guys have quite the machine too.
