We don’t have a good photo but here is 2232’s robot.
(Sorry I did not cover the bumpers in the rendering.)

Here it is. 2232 has come a long way since last year. Since we did not get a good photo before it went in the crate, here is a color rendering of our robot. (Less the bumper covering and numbers).
We think we got the handling under control and the autonomous and IR modes seem to be working also.
Now we rest.
Looks good!
Did you actually attach/paint those eyes on, or was that just for fun on the computer?
Do you have any other pictures, such as one with the drive train?
Looking forward to seeing you at the MN regional!!
The mentors liked the eyeballs on CAD but the student felt that everyone does eyeballs so they painted the tennis balls all black. Who knows what we’ll have for the competition. There has been talk about flaming balls, hum.
We learned a lot at the Simley practice event as our robot was hard to drive on tile floor. We made some mechanical and software changes that greatly improved the handling. Now the students are asking for more speed.
I’ll try to get some more pictures. We are 2WD front wheel drive with two speed gear boxes with 2 CIMs on each. The chassis rides 1/2" off the ground but is adjustable in 1/4" increments. The top chassis is 1" below the bottom of the bumpers which are 2-1/2" off the floor. We’ve rolled it over to about 75 degrees from vertical and it still rights itself. Very low CG.
Tanis BTW I work in New Brighton.
