We can't decide what design to use; which one do you like better?

I’ll choose door number two, Bob.

The 2nd one is sweet. The 1st one has too many holes in it - It looks like swiss cheese.

::Edit:: Those treads look familiar. Our wheels are gonna be more pimp than yours, though :p.

the one on the right…

I agree the one on the right.
I wish those were a little bigger i would put them on my Exploder

2nd one john!

IN MY OPINION, THE SECOND ONE IS DEFENETLY BETTER BECAUSE THE FIRST ONE LOOKS LIKE IF YOU HAD MADE HOLES TO REDUCE WEIGHT AND THE ONE ON THE RIGHT LOOKS REALLY COOL.

DAVID

Again, the one on the right just loook cooler.

the one on the right

They need to be green anodized, and then assembled with yellow anodized spinners. … and then, on the spinners, you can etch “JVN is a dweeb”.

That would be cool.

Andy B.

Those look familiar

Although we welded our flange onto the purchased rims. I assume you milled these. BEAUTIFUL! I’m a right winger myself. I see you riveted the seams on. We found some incredible glue to hold that on without any mechanical fasteners. I was asked not to divulge, but I’ll give a hint - shoe repair.

I agree with Andy

The one on the right looks much better, and it looks like it might weigh a little less, too.

Well well well…I guess some people just can’t stop at bling bling for the brain, can they?

And yeah, my vote’s with the second one.

The wheel on the left looks like an off-road style, as for the one on the right is more of a street style.

I like the one on the right

If they weigh the same, I like the one on the right more.

The one on the right.

i’m gonna have to break with everyone else and say the one on the left. either way, if you decide not to use one set or the other, team 1369 would be happy to relieve you of the excess wheels.

I agree … I think as far as style goes, neither of them are bad. If they both weigh the same, why not go for the one on the left??

And … I like swiss cheese …

Dan,

The reason we went with rivets instead of adhesive is for ease of changing tread at competition. All we have to do is drill out 4 rivets and pop 4 more back in to the new tread. We have tried adhesives in the past and the problem is usually drying time and excess glue on the wheel when changing tread. If you have found a glue which works well, that is excellent.

Eric

The wheel on the left looks familiar to me for some reason, John…

Did my 2004 wheels mate, have deformed kids with 2 extra mounting holes, and then sell their offspring to you on the black market? :stuck_out_tongue:

Sexy wheels, man… no matter which you go with.

-Bill

If JVN did that then maybe his robot could be a showcase item on “Pimp My Robot” But, wouldn’t spinners add a little too much weight for what they are worth, but hey that’s an IRI idea for teams to do!
