pic: 294 Final Robot

This is the robot in its final state. Our Arm didn’t work at the scrimmage because 5 AM the morning of our arm gearboxes siezed up. Luckily we had finished the PID gains first.

At the scrimmage, the Hawthorne team (207))))) helped us cut some nice steel planetary gears for the final stage of the 256:1 BB gearbox which worked wonderfully. Now we can quickly and easily score/descore on any height along with picking up from any location. During testing, we’d think we screwed up, but would actually find even more orientations to score from. It should be a nice season for us.

It looks like this game is going to take a while to get the hang of, and as you say ringers kind of seem to find their own way of getting scored.

Nice robot!
