This is our Competition Robt about 95 percent done

details on the climber?

Nice looking robot Rudy. I love the drilled square tubing.

Is it just designed to feed? The angle seems pretty shallow for a back of the pyramid shot.

I also am not sure how your climber works, is there a bottom latch that’s not on or just hard to see.

Can’t wait to see this at Alamo.

The way that the CIM is mounted it seems that it is a leadscrew controlling the height of the hooks.

Details on Climber: The one you see in the picture was run direct drive on all thread by a cim motor. We test and it work a few teams great then start popping breakers. We reduced the power setting where it didnt pop the breaker and it didnt have enough power to lift. We had to go to our back up plan that night. We put a pneumatic cylinder on it and tested it. It lift great everytime. Which did about 10 times.

Shooter Details: It on a 65 degree angle. It direct driven on a cim-u-lator. We can hit from 18-50 ft in range. It hits both the 2 and 3 point shoot depending on wheel speed.

Any other questions feel free to ask and ill answer the best i can.

Interesting setup !

what levels and how long does it take to climb?

Its a welded together steel hook on a round stock slider. It runs on a 2 inch bore; 12 inch stoke cylinder. It goes up in a couple of seconds when pressure is at full.

If your talking about the setup you see in the pic. Its the same setup just run directly off a cim and all thread. If the motor is cool it would take 3 seconds to climb but after the first time it would pop breakers. So we decided to change to a pneumatic cylinder which work alot better for us.

I’m guessing first level of the pyramid?
pretty neat robot

Yes, Its just a first level climbing robot. We should have our practice and competition bot done this weekend hopefully.
