Our 2017 test chassis was converted to a 775pro differential swerve this fall. Hopefully we’ll get it moving (straight) this week. Code will be on Github once we write it.
Because it is recycled, there are a lot of remnants of the active steering system.
I’d like to see video of it moving.
I was waiting to see when we’d see a differential swerve module that just used multiple wheels as the differential rather than a bunch of bevel gears. This is a really elegant idea, hopefully you guys get it working at some point.
Baby steps. Super simple control system without any wheel speed sensors.
So is this like four mini tank drives? Where module rotation is achieved by spinning the two wheels at different speeds? That’s ridiculously cool. Congrats on getting it moving!
