Our robot wearing its purple bumpers.
Beautiful robot. However I wanted to let you know that it appears you have a non-manufacturer sticker on your air tank. These have been deemed illegal (modification of pneumatic component) in the past. You may want to remove it before it can become an issue.
Thank you! But it isn’t a sticker; it’s actually a sheet of copper, with Velcro attaching it. It did catch the inspector’s eye, but they let it pass. Thank you for pointing it out though!
I’m pretty sure 118’s air tanks are painted white, how did they pass? Does Clippard make white tanks, or are you just allowed to paint them?
To clarify. It is non stick Velcro wrapped around the tank then the copper attached to it.
Yes they have white tanks. And no you cannot chemically alter the tanks i.e.
no stickers or paint.
This did raise some eyebrows from the robot inspectors when we set it down on Einstein last weekend. But once they realized how we did it they were like “well played”.
It was so much fun working with you all this past weekend! You guys have a great robot and team. We’ll be rooting for you in the future!
Thanks for playing with us at Houston! You have a great robot and we loved having you on our alliance.
Thanks for having us. We learned so much about how to play at that level from you all in a short time. The pleasure was certainly all ours. You guys rock and thanks again for the awesome Team Tator towels.
