My attempt at designing a 6WD. It has:
1/8th drop
6 inch plactions
modified super shifters
weighs ~40lbs (according to autodesk)
If there’s any interest, I’ll post the CAD.

Interest. Why are the cims placed differently?
Is the battery cable long enough to reach the PD board?
(A) I actually don’t see a PDB on that CAD.
(B) You can cut longer wires from the PDB to your battery, so this really isn’t that big of an issue.
It’s to line up shafts if I’m guessing right. The placement is a 90-degree rotation to adjust for something not being quite right–I forget just what.
As far as the battery cable, you can have your own longer one (provided the gauge is right). However, that size of cable gets pretty heavy–I’d personally move the PDB closer to the battery and use lighter cable for longer runs.
ttldomination, I’m pretty sure that’s the PDB behind the cRIO.
Digital Sidecar.
Im also guessing brian just slapped on the electronics for picture aesthetics-- no real reason for specific locations.
How is the chain tension adjusted?
It is b/c these gearboxes don’t come oriented differently for right and left side modules. You have to have a 90* rotation or I believe assemble it essentially backwards, but I have never played with them myself so the only one I’m sure of is turning one 90*.
You might want to try adding sprockets between each set of wheels to tension the chains, other than that, very nicely CADed. Congrats.
This is correct, a supershifter has a 5" square face. Looking at a supershifter head on the shaft comes out of a hole 1.5" from the right, and 1.5" from the bottom, this necessitates it being rotated 90 degrees when you place it on the other side, in order for the shafts to line up. (It you don’t understand draw it on a piece of paper and then flip it to replicate being placed on both sides, and you will get it.)
No issue except for the energy lost to electrical resistance…
Unrelatedly, I’m curious what you modified on the super shifters. Except for removing the housing, they look pretty close to stock configuration to me.

About the whole PDB thing; I just tossed a basic electronics board in to show where things might go. I don’t know where the electronics would go on the actual robot because this was designed without a specific game in mind.
