This is a picture of Dottie and I on an iceberg that washed up on Point Barrow. (This is why we couldn't attend IRI) We are about 5 miles north of the most northern town in North America and about 2 miles from the top of the world, the end of the North American continent. Point Barrow is about 0.5 miles wide at this point and the Polar ice pack is about 18 miles off shore behind us.

Air temp is about 45F, sea about 35F, winds east at 20 MPH and steady, local time about 6:30 AM. The beach is littered with driftwood and whale bones.
