Since there are talks of mousetrap cars and the such, here’s mine from physics this year that won and set the school record. It was a distance competition and it went ~125ft before it was about to hit the wall. I cut the pieces on a table saw, and then sanded them down by hand for aesthetics as well as saving weight. The arm and the shafts are carbon fiber that I got from my local hobby shop for fairly cheap. They are all riding on rc heli bearings.

Hey Jeff,

My name is Joe and I am very impressed by your design. I too am competing in a Mouse Trap car race in Physics this year. Would it be possible for you to send some plans and a link to type of wheels you used? This will be most helpful and I will give you credit where it is due if you so desire. Thank you very much.
