this is our robot with 10 days to go!
the lifting mechanism has yet to be reinforced and we dont have the electronics mounted yet but we can lift well over 6.5 ft with out any pneumatics …
if you have any questions feel free to ask …

two questions, is that an entirely pvc frame? and what makes the lift go up?

I’m going to guess 8020. PVC as second guess (though why PVC in a drivetrain application, I don’t know).

looks like 8020. i see the special connectors and accessories

we are using 2020 (8020 is the brand name) as well and i believe i saw the video you had of your lift on you tube and it is essentially the same as ours but we are using two pillars of 2020 with a section in the center for our claw

yours looks like its WAY lighter than ours (we have about 7lb right now to finish making edits and then we will have to start swiss cheesing) but also looks a little structurally unsound…

You should probably set your lift so that there is more overlap between sections. This will increase the strength dramatically as well as reduce friction.
