I think you’re violating the bumper numbering rules.
[R35] team numbers must be “clearly visible from a distance of not less than 100 ft, so that judges, referees, and announcers can easily identify competing Robots.” Thus they may not be obscured in any way (disconnected, out of order, rotated, upside-down, mirror imaged, etc).

Wow…these two pic posts perfectly reflect the direction I feel CD is taking on these days and why I troll less and less, and post even less than that.
A team posts pictures of their very nice looking robot (by the way) and show their proud sponsors and the first three posts are by people seemingly so impressed with their complete knowledge of every rule that they have to show it off by posting immediately how some part of their robot is illegal…
As PC would say… “Really? Really!?”
Great looking robot guys and I hope I get to see it at champs… Nice job and your team should be proud!
I had the exact opposite reaction. A team posts pictures of their very nice looking robot (by the way) and show their proud sponsors and the first three posts are by people seemingly so helpful that they want to ensure FRC61 has a smooth inspection process and avoids any embarrassment at events.
James is merely trying to be helpful. I don’t see the problem.
That said, nice looking robot! Why the big wheels for the bridge arm? I’m sure something smaller would have worked just fine, no?
Your statement offends me quite a bit. I phrased my post with “I think…” and credited someone else with pointing out the particular rule. I was in no way trying to ‘show off’ any ‘complete knowledge of every rule.’ I was just trying to alert 61 to a potential rules violation that could cost them time, energy, frustration, and maybe a practice match or two at a regional. If they know about it ahead of time they will be able to remake their great-looking bumpers with legal numbering instead of hacking something together on Thursday morning at GSR.
Which situation would you rather be in?
