Impressive. I managed to get 70 points myself, better find a partner to top that.
Edit: Up to 88 now
meh 110 or something one game. I managed uber points int Hybrid.
How many hybrid points? I managed 30.
The highest hybrid period score i could get was 42 by shooting the two in the hopper and immediately going to the coop bridge and shooting from there.
I just got 127 with one robot.
What is this?
Ive gotten 165 points in a regular match, 1 bot.
A few of my Facebook friends and I have been racing to beat each other’s 1v0 scores. I want to say 195 is the record?
At this point any hybrid under 54 points is an instant restart for me. Best I’ve gotten is 66.
72 point hybrid is my best… We’ll have to battle it out at the expo this year! Might be fun. Whats your setup? and do you use the xbox controller?
I figured you or Brendan would chime in. I need to find some of the pictures.

That was you before your computer froze and I think my high score is around 180 or so
What Robot configurations do you all use?
8 wheel drive (or mecanum), layup, and long range 4 usually works well. It’s interesting to experiment with the fixed turrets and lower height layouts, the scores suddenly get more realistic for some reason… :ahh:
Just bought the game and I’m playing it for the first time, so what are some strategies for getting the high scores you guys are talking about? (meaning robot configurations, strategies, etc.)
If you check out this video then you can see my strategy. Not my best match. Sorry for the poor quality.
I can’t wait to get it
I just ran the software on my RPI stock Lenovo W500. I bought the Xbox version since my computer overheats so @#@#@#@# much now I couldn’t play anymore.
Oh wow that was frustrating. There are three balls in transit for 9 more points. I easily had time to take the penalty and hit the red bridge for 6 more and then a balance for 25 total points. If I was lucky I’d get that stray ball and score a 1 pointer from the bridge, but even if I didn’t, I would have been the record holder at 193 points.
Robot layout - mecanum drive, layup, any long range turret, blue alliance. the latter is important because the PID for the turret only spins in one direction, so being on the blue alliance lets you start shooting in hybrid much faster.
Auton strategy - immediately begin strafing to the left and back while shooting. Once you’re done shooting, keep strafing toward the bridge while you spin the drive base, then grab the bridge. Get three balls, then LET GO OF THE BRIDGE and shoot, rinse and repeat until you get a 54+ point run in.
Teleop - there are two ways to do this. One way is to start a cycle like Sanchez did. Score three, slam to the left, grab the balls as they return, score, repeat. With practice this is a good way to get past the 120 mark. What Brendan does is waits for balls to idle into the bridge, takes the penalty, and scoops them all from the same place in one blow. This can be faster but it takes more finesse since you can’t see what you’re going for. My strategy blends the two together based on how I feel, where the balls are, etc. If you let enough balls “bleed off” the alliance bridge, they will pop out of the side of it in a perfect Pac-Man line for you to intake.
Generally for scoring, the closer you are to touching the key, the more likely you’re in a sweet spot. I like playing to the spots 1717 scores from because they’re close to both the alliance bridge and the ball return lane. There is a tiny spot from within the lane where you can sit and sweetspot balls into the goal but it’s almost always worth it to just strafe into the key and score there.
While you want to use the Layup elevator because it’s the fastest and least jammy, you don’t actually have any incentive to raise it up. It does not give you more distance - it actually makes it slightly more likely for a ball to glitch out of bounds. The only exception is at the end of the match, if you have balanced, extend upward and shoot your balls off and there’s a chance they will make the 1 point basket.
Once you get bored of doing absolute high score, make up challenges for yourself. I like using 8WD / Layup / Short Range Turreted, doing an alliance bridge auto, and tipping the Co-Op bridge away from me. This makes for a fun, 469 or 2056-style “bump jump” full field game which can be more fun to play if you don’t mind a frustratingly low score If anyone wanted to compile unofficial little challenges with different types of bots, I’d be all for it.
Challenges:
1)4WD/human loader/any turret Score above 30 in a 1v0 match.
2)any drive/no hopper/no turret Score by ramming balls into the the in front of goals and bouncing them into the one point goal.
3) Balance with at least 45% of your robot off the side of the bridge
4) Get outside of the playing field and score a shot from there. (i’ve done this once with the robot completely tipped over)
5)shoot only from the opposing alliances side.
That’s all i can think of right now.
Not 100% here, but doesn’t an opposing alliance robot need to be scoring in order for you to load from the human player?
