Are those CIM’s??? Whats a DC940??? Why am I oblivious to these gearboxes???
A quick search returns this drill. It appears that this team has removed the gearboxes from the drill and mated them with the CIM motors.
Look for the white paper titled “nothing but dewalts”
I personally prefer them in dewalt yellow, but I could be a bit biased.

I hope you have provided for some support on the end of the sprocket shaft. Side loads are incredible for this chain driven mechanism. Mechanical loads translate to electrical loads.
