pic: Cooney Quest 269 Final Robot #1

we are done, us 2004 mentors really got this team going.

ok ok you got us, this really isnt our final 2005 robot. It is just one of the potential design mockups sitting on top of a prototype drive. No way we would allow a robot to go into competition looking like this. We are pretty far along, but I'm sure our 2005 robot will look nothing like this ;).

Forgive me if I’m wrong, but this is the the friday of the 1st week right?

Is that square tube standing up toward the back attached to a piston an outrigger?

Do you know how many wires are in that mess and how long would it take you to find a short and fix it?

Also…don’t you think you might get entangled a few times?

Is it just single-jointed arm? I can’t tell at all how it works just by looking at the photo…How high will it be able to reach? Have you tested it yet?

So do the four independent wheel motors mean you can split the robot apart by going in two directions at once?

Feel stupid for asking this, but do you think I can add a little [Rumor Mill] tag in front of your thread title? :stuck_out_tongue:

mind explaining the grabbing mech to me, i can not invision how it works. Now that your done, you have 5 weeks to organize your wiring

You could just be mocking up with the old electrical system but the old breaker panels are not acceptable this year.

Wow it looks like a rainbow spaghetti dinner on top of the frame.
Somebody get the tie wraps!

Ok ok you got us, this really isnt our final 2005 robot. Team #269 just wanted to continue the excitement of posting robot pictures on CD and creating havoc, just like we started doing in 1999.

Im still surprised that you have a prototype completely mocked up already, I assume he runs, so this will give you guys a lot of time to practice as well as test. Good job!
