I can’t believe a single hit would do that. How was the piece supported?

walks into a corner and sobs

…so sad… :frowning:

Nice use of the corner connectors though. May the C channel rest in peace.

I have an additional question. I want to make sure that we get a good picture of the scenario so that teams are not unnecessarily scared away from the KOP chassis.

Were bumpers on this robot?

EDIT: Looks like the other picture answers both of our questions. No bumpers, and the piece was supported only by the corner connectors to another chassis rail on each end.

I winced when this image came up. This is why I have come to appreciate the bumper rules (even if they can be a bit of a pain sometimes), and this is also why I insist that the bumpers are on the robot when we are testing.

Bumpers were not on the robot, they were still in the process of being made.

And that section of C-Channel was only bolted with the corner connectors to the other sides of C-Channel. Nothing else was holding it to the robot.
