Soon after the Championships one of the high school students asked me to go to prom with her dressed in Duct Tape for a contest. Here is what about 6 people on my team created.
If you like this picture there are more at http://www.ducttapeprom.com/contests/prom/entries.asp?state=&category=&page=17. Voting ends today and anyone with an email address can vote so please do. Thanks.
I thought that guy looked familiar!
This is probably one of the best that I’ve seen. Best of luck!
Thanks,
There were about 6 of us working on those two outfits for about 3 weeks. Most of the people who worked on those outfits will be at IRI. If you notice the flowers and the purse are all duct tape too.
Wow they look awesome got my vote(s) good luck!
I like how the shooting star on your pants continues onto her dress. Very cool!
all I can say is wow… I’m pretty much speechless… I don’t know what else there is to say just wow… I can’t believe it… It looks amazing…
wow, thats really awesome
If you notice, every part of the picture overlap to each others outfit. The shooting strar, the colors, and the starry scene on the top of the outfits.
Kudo’s to the designers and fabricators of this modern day work of art, and good luck in the contest.
I hope not EVERY piece of clothing was made out of duct tape. I imagine that that would be somewhat uncomfortable.
Chafe chafe chafe chafe…

Now thats a shwanky tux and dress. Great job on it.
Let me clarify everything that is visible is made out of Duct Tape. If it isn’t visible then it probably isn’t duct tape.
Here is a close up of the flower.

Whoa, that’s a cool flower! People can do some amazing things with Duct tape. How much did all that tape cost? How long did it take you to make it?
(BTW, I was refering to underwear. Duct tape underwear would not be fun. )

Amazing job! Several members over the years have made articles for different puroposes our of duct tape, nothing this amazing yet though! Good Job!
I knew exactly what you meant which is why I stated visible clothing. I just wanted to show off the flower. I don’t know exactly how much it cost but total it was less than a dress would have cost. We met twice a week for about 4 or 5 hours at a time for a couple of weeks and then the last week we were meeting almost every day to get all the final details done.
Disnam, good job. Who knew duct tape was also usefull for prom outfits. Actually i didnt even know duct tape came in that many colors
Wow! Definitely one of the best on the site. Sorry I got to this post a day too late. You definitely would have had my vote!
Nice job!!
you’d have my vote also
I’m also an avid duct tape fan, which over the past summer I made pants and a trench coat. Havn’t had much time this year to continue with the clothes because i sell 3 kinds of duct tape wallets and 4 types of purses, which that kept me busy (along with robotics of course )
applauds good job!
ya good job on the dress!..wow i could never be able to do that. was it hard to dance in it and stuff? i remember seeing Made on MTV one time and she made a duct tape dress for prom and stuff and i thought that would be impossible to do…ur dress is cooler! good job!
