This is an early picture of our “HI” drop drive.
A “H/I” slide drive with pneumatic actuated center wheels.
These wheels are actuated up for easy of driving over the bump. This design was thought up to allow the robot to have enough clearance to drive over the bump. In addition it keeps the robot centered when lowered while driving down the length of the bump to score, the dropped wheels are spaced to hug the outside edge of the bump.
